Caprae Capital Partners is a private equity fund led by the principal Kevin Hong who has been a serial tech entrepreneur, and who grew two startups to $31M ARR and $7M in revenue. The fund originated with two additional tech entrepreneur friends of Kevin who have had ~8 figure and ~9 figure exits to Twitter and Square, respectively. The fund is now looking for additional opportunities that would be a good fit.
If you have a passion for finance, particularly private equity, as well as ESG and happen to be a mission-driven person, this is a great fit for you. Additionally, given the recent expansion of this particular firm, you will have the opportunity to work from the ground level and take on a leadership role for the internship program which would result in a paid role. Lastly, this is also a great role for those who are looking into strategy and consulting roles in the future as it will give you the exposure and experience necessary to develop strong business acumen.

You will be paid 5–10 hours per week for cold calling to source acquisition opportunities.

Beyond calling, interns can expand into broader deal activities — gaining access to the full cycle of sourcing, evaluation, and execution.
Internship Overview
As a Buyside Deal Acquisition Intern, you will:

Paid role (5–10 hours/week): Execute cold calls to business owners, intermediaries, and executives to generate deal flow.

Sit in on seller meetings and observe live negotiations.

Structure deals over the phone with oversight from senior team members.

Work directly with the Managing Partner and outreach team to strategize daily sourcing campaigns.

Collaborate with our in-house brokerage platform CLOVER, coordinating with buyers, sellers, and intermediaries.

Team up with M&A advisers and business brokers to progress deals.

Support general business development initiatives across Caprae’s platforms.

Earn commission opportunities tied to sales and closed deals.

modeling, and lead generation - skills that expand your M&A toolkit if you want to grow
beyond calling.
